I was born in the small town of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, where I lived until I was 17. After high school graduation, I moved to Red Deer for my first year at Red Deer College, where I found an interest in communications, marketing, and media. 

 

January of 2014, I got my acceptance letter into the Digital Communications and Media program at Lethbridge College. I moved to Lethbridge in August of 2015, started the program and completed the 2-year diploma in April of 2016. After graduation, I worked for the Alberta Birds of Prey Foundation as a social media manager and an interpreter for 2 and a half years.

 

January of 2018, I began my position at Lethbridge College, as an Instructional Assistant for the program I graduated from– Digital Communications and Media. As of December 2018, I completed this job and now pursue my next step into the media industry. My skillset is broad thanks to my training and experiences at Lethbridge College and the Alberta Birds of Prey Foundation. My passion lies within content creation, social media management, event planning and team leading. 

Through 2019 and 2020, I worked at Artrageous Advertising, an advertising agency here in Lethbridge, where I worked with a variety of businesses, producing, editing, and managing their social media presence. This was a great experience, as I learned how to work with many people in many different industries and bring their businesses to life on a digital platform. 

From May 2021 to present, I’ve been a part of the Butte Hospitality team as the marketing coordinator. This position has a wide variety of responsibilities, including social media content creation and management, coordinating with multiple local 3rd party content creators like copywriters, photographers, videographers and graphic designers to generate multi-platform content for their 3 restaurants, Water Tower Bar & Grill, Telegraph Taphouse and Cattlemen’s Chophouse. This role also introduced me into a floor management position, as well as an events coordinator position, where I take on daily responsibilities of managing front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service, and communicating with guests who have inquired on booking private events and large reservations at all 3 locations.
